Dear all ULP Leaders,
Please take note as of effect of Year 2006, the Outdoor Activities (Gold) Badge is only valid if you have attended the OA (Gold) Modular Workshops or any other Accreditations held by HQ or by the HLFC. The Outward Bound Singapore or any other OBS scheme is not longer to be used for the awarding of Outdoor Activities (Gold) Badge due to the syllabus changes. As such, for those with OA (Silver) Badge, you are strongly encouraged to attend the upcoming OA (Gold) Modular Workshop whereby you would be trained and be taught in assisting accreditations for OA (Bronze & Silver) upon passing and completing the OA (Gold) Modular Workshop.
Please take note of this information and ENCOURAGE your unit members via your teachers to attend the upcoming July Modular Workshop for Evacuation (Bronze / Silver) & Outdoor Activities (Silver / Gold).
Pre-requisition to attend Gold Workshops - Silver Badge. Pre-requisition to attend Silver Workshops - Bronze Badge. Pre-requisition to attend Bronze Workshops - NIL E.g. OA (Gold) Workshop - OA (Silver) Badge is a pre-requisition.
For more information, please kindly approach your teachers if they have not sent any cadets for the above mentioned workshops.

Dear Chi Shan,
The new syllabus should or would be announced during the modular workshops and might be circulated to schools in due course.
However, the basic criteria are as follows:
Bronze: To be awarded upon passing both theory and practical accreditation conducted by School or HQ.
Silver: To be awarded upon passing both theory, practical accreditation and overnight camp of at least a minimum of 2 Days 1 Night, conducted by School or HQ.
Gold: To be awarded upon passing both theory, practical accreditation and overnight camp of at least a minimum of 3 Days 2 Nights, conducted by School or HQ. Upon passing, Cadets are allowed to asisst in conducting Outdoor Activities lessons and Accreditation for Bronze and Silver.
I'll upload the new breakdown of the syllabus some other time. Cheerios!
